THE RESEARCHERS OF THE UNIVERSITY ARE INVITED TO SEND THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS ON COVID-19 RESEARCHES

Catania, 9 November 2020– The prestigious international journal “International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health” designated Prof. Riccardo Polosa and Prof. Venera Tomaselli of the CoEHAR of the University of Catania Guest Editors of the Special Issue of the magazine on COVID -19.

Both the researches are in charge of carrying out the overview process of the materials submitted by authors and researches from all over the World. The aim is to conduct the first international selection of studies related to the pandemic that is shaping the global structure of the healthcare system. 

Possible themes of this special issue are advances on the geospatial distribution of the disease; the impact of COVID-19 measured by mortality, morbidity, cost, and other valuable indicators; possible control measures of the disease; the evaluation of national, regional, and local responses to the COVID-19 outbreak; all other public health actions to minimize the impact of COVID-19. 

I am sure that this important editorial adventure will help to clarify extremely useful information for researchers around the world. Our commitment will be to select and start publishing the contributions with the greatest impact on the ethical, organizational, and clinical aspects of COVID-19 as quickly as possible”- commented prof. Polosa.

Our university is involved in an international editorial work that we hope will contribute to the control of hypotheses on the clinical, epidemiological and social implications related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on public health” – added prof. Tomaselli.
