The CoEHAR – Center of Excellence for the Acceleration of Harm Reduction will be among the key participants in the final dissemination event of the TNE LEGO Project – “Italy-East Asia Cooperation from Local Expertise to a Global Outlook”, scheduled for May 14, 2026, in Venice.

Funded under the PNRR – Next Generation EU programme, the initiative represents the concluding stage of a two-year pathway focused on educational innovation, international mobility, and academic cooperation between Italy and East Asia.

During the event, Prof. Riccardo Polosa, founder of CoEHAR and Professor at the University of Catania, will deliver the lecture:

“Stronger Together for Better Health! International Mobility, Scientific Collaboration, and Shared Vision of CoEHAR/University of Catania and Universitas Padjadjaran (Bandung, West Java) for Advancing the Harm Reduction Paradigm.”

The presentation will showcase the results of the academic mobility programme carried out at Universitas Padjadjaran in Bandung, Indonesia, highlighting CoEHAR’s contribution to advancing international research collaboration in tobacco harm reduction and public health.

The mobility programme involved more than 1,100 students, six university faculties, and numerous researchers and lecturers, contributing to the dissemination of the harm reduction paradigm through seminars, scientific exchange, academic training, and research activities.

The initiative also led to measurable academic outcomes, including six international seminars delivered; eight planned scientific manuscripts, four of which have already been published; two joint grant applications submitted; the activation of a new mobility programme supported by the Indonesian Government.

The event will gather several Italian universities and institutions involved in the TNE LEGO project, including Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, University of Naples L’Orientale, University of Bergamo, Kore University of Enna, and other academic partners.

The event, conducted in Italian language, is open to the public and to the academic community upon registration.
