The CoEHAR board is made up of specialists including academics, doctors, professors and technical operators from the University of Catania and other international partners.

Research

The CoEHAR team conducts and implements international research projects with a multidisciplinary approach useful in assessing the impact on public health when alternative tools are used instead of cigarettes. Research Center focuses on the quality of life, smoking cessation and harm reduction.

Interdisciplinary

We have created a network of scientists (more than 50 academics from the University of Catania) from various disciplines who work together to carry out internationalization projects that will revolutionize science and innovation.

Using alternative tools that are less harmful then cigarettes allows you to reduce the harm of smoking.

CoEHAR studies the factors that favor smoking addiction and identifies the most suitable tools for smoking cessation.

For years an international leader in the field of research applied to electronic cigarettes, CoEHAR team operates by following the principle of risk reduction indicated as valid also by the World Health Organization. 

CoEHAR is the international Center of Excellence for the reduction of smoking damage established in 2018 within the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine of the University of Catania.
