Smokers and Covid-19 risk: a new CoEHAR study confirms that vaccines are less effective on smokers

According to the researchers from CoEHAR, the Center of Excellence for the acceleration of Harm Reduction of the University of Catania, in partnership with the University of Pavia and the University of Milan “Statale”, the analysis of the international studies conducted on the humoral response to Covid-19 vaccines confirmed the negative impact of smoking on antibodies levels induced by vaccine and the rapid lowering of the vaccine-elicited IgG titres over six months

Prof. Caruso, from CoEHAR, joined CORESTA SSPT2021 Conference

The main goal of the Conference is to introduce the current status of New Alternative Methods and their potential to support Tobacco Harm Reduction worldwide. The aim of the CORESTA conference is also to foster scientific engagement between CORESTA members and THR international community to facilitate the discussion around reduced risk devices and support evidence-based tobacco regulatory policies.
