The Center of Excellence for the Acceleration of Harm Reduction (CoEHAR) is pleased to present the “Smile Study”, a new research project committed to reducing the damage caused by smoking to dental health.
On Thursday 22th of April, from 9.30 to 16.00, the CoEHAR organizes the kick-off online meeting of the Smile Study international research project on Zoom.
The Smile Study is an international randomized controlled trial designed to determine whether conventional cigarette smokers who switch to reduced-risk systems (ie e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products) have measurable improvement in oral health and dental appearance parameters, such as a consequence of the lack of exposure of cigarette smoke.
The event will present all the activities on the effects of reduced-risk products on teeth and oral cavity, involving six international partners.
Participants in the international meeting will include delegates from the University of Bologna, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Addendo Dental Clinic (Italy), Universitas Padjajaran (Indonesia), the University Hospital of Warsaw (Poland), Fala Dental Clinic (Moldova).
